I’m sure everyone would like to know the answer to the golden question: is there a best type of lead generation offer to send to my list? Short answer, no. There is not one best type of offer to send. However, you can notice trends. Test content, subject lines, personas, and track everything. This way you can improve at getting clients on board. 

A few tips before you get started trying to find the best lead generation offers to test out:

Make sure you have a targeted and accurate lead list. How stressful is it to send an email campaign out to your CRM list only to have hundreds of bounces?  Understandably, CRM’s can get messy and when there isn’t one person overseeing it in its entirety, it’s easy to have an out of date list.  Thankfully, there is an easy fix. Currently, there are websites out there that can validate your data. Cool, right? You send over your list and its validated. You are provided with a grade (A-F) for each contact. Obviously, you wouldn’t want to send to the contacts with bad grades, these are most likely email addresses that no longer exist. So, take your new information and work with it. Just ensure when new contacts are added into your CRM that their information, especially their email addresses, are typed in correctly to prevent any unnecessary hard bounces from your list.

Test content and try templates. There is no need to reinvent the wheel – unless of course you have the time and patience. But Some marketers have already found what works best for them so why not use the templates they provide? Maybe one of those will work for you as well. Test out different templates with different content and subject lines. Track everything. Soon, you will see which is working for your business. Once you find your niche, roll with it, but don’t be too monotonous. Change it up every once in a while, keep it fun!


Capture information on your website. In order to get leads to your site, you need traffic and you need to make sure that your calls-to-action are as clear as possible. Make it easy for your readers to understand what you want them to do and how they can benefit in return. Ensure your landing page is engaging so that when traffic comes to your site it can be easily converted. 

So as you can see, there is not one best lead generation offer – there are multiple. What works for you might not work for the next guy, so you have to experiment and see what is best for your particular business.
